Early Start

Even though there's still Halloween candy on my coffee table, and even though the snow isn't sticking, Santa Claus is so comin' to town. And you'd better believe I've started thinking about gifts.

You know those people who have everything? I have a few of them to buy for this year. And I've decided the best approach is to try for something personal—something from my heart that I can't (and more importantly, they can't) buy at the store. And I've been eyeing Heritage Makers for just that.

Have you heard of this company? I used to think they just did photo books, but they do a lot more than that. If you want to see for yourself, their website is here.

Sure, they do the regular photo book stuff. But they take it to a new level—they have templates for you to start from that are fully customizable, which means your photo book won't look just like everyone else's. I can tell my family's story in my family's style.

And they go way beyond photo books. They do canvas photo prints, spiral-bound books (family cookbook, anyone? Calendars?), and even print on clocks. Wedding announcements. Home decor. Clocks. Swatchbooks. Posters. Playing cards. Can you imagine?

They have a software program called Studio that is entirely online, so you can work on your projects from anywhere. The company is driven by consultants, but you don't have to know anyone to get the products. Having (or becoming) a consultant helps you out, though—you can get discounts on products, make money and help others preserve their memories. So it's a business opportunity AND a great place to get Christmas gifts.

What could be better? I can't wait to get started on some projects of my own.
