The Grant Boys and the Rolling Stone

When Ryan and I started dating more than a little bit (if you know what I mean), he told me I had to meet the Grant Boys. I was kind of terrified. I had never heard of the Grant Boys, but I assumed they were, in fact, a group of boys. A group of boys I had to impress if I wanted to marry Ryan.

Ryan talked them up, told me about how they'd been all been friends for years, how they weren't all from Grant but had been adopted. He told me they were actually the Grant Boys and the Rolling Stone, because of Brett Stone. Brett wasn't a Grant Boy. He was the Rolling Stone. It was a lot to remember.

Actually meeting them, though, was a bit anti-climatic. We got there and found everyone playing World of Warcraft. A few nodded at us, but some didn't. Ryan, Ryan Kunz and I spent the night playing MarioKart on N64 with Clint Field's mom. It rocked. And before we left, they asked if I wouldn't mind taking a picture for them.

But since then, the Grant Boys parties have significantly improved. Cute Cheryl was at the next party with Geoff. Then Sarah joined the group, then Tiffany. McKayla came to the last one. And when we got together for a picture this time, things had changed a bit:

At this party, we played games all together. We ate a lot of pizza. Ryan and I told everyone we're having a Grant-Baby. We stayed up talking until 3 a.m. And while the boys might think the good times are over, I think they're just beginning.

I guess that makes me a Grant Girl? I wonder how long it takes to become officially adopted.

In my heart I will always be a Grant Girl. Those boys meant more to me than I think they will ever understand. They truly saved me during some very hard times in high school and I love each and every one of them so much! I consider all of them my brothers and very best friends. I wish I knew all of the new Grant Girls better, but I include all of you in my "family" as well. Any time you guys head down to Vegas please stop by!
