Cause For Celebration

Yesterday marked exactly 2 1/2 years since this day


and precisely one month since this one.


And what a sweet two-and-a-half-years-slash-one-month it has been. It's the part of my life that's involved monthly bills and a joint bank account. It's the part of my life that brought the best news we'd ever heard and, nine months later, the arrival of the sweetest baby ever born. The part when I learned that feeding others is more fun than feeding yourself and that a little person can take up a big place in your heart.

I can't remember what my life was like without Ryan and Lyla. 

To celebrate, Ryan took his final exams and I cleaned our house top to bottom. But I think more of a celebration is in order—perhaps involving Christmas shopping, Wii bowling and something delicious for dinner.

Because our family? It's something to celebrate.
